Ryan Jefforey Mathews (born October 10, 1987) is an American football running back for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Fresno State. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the first round, 12th overall, in the 2010 NFL Draft. He was selected to his first Pro Bowl after the 2011 season. ==Early years== Mathews was born in Riverside, California to Tricia Mathews when she was 16. His father left before he was born and has only seen him a few times in his life.
